10 days early, Wahoo!

This morning at 1:30 am Kim started having mild contractions. Since they were very slow when she had Kaylee, we took our time and got everything ready to go. On the way to the hospital Kim kept having more and more intense contractions until she was into full on active labor. She was in a lot of pain when we walked through the doors and so the nurses were scurrying about trying to get everything in line for the c-section. The nurse checked her and she was at 6 cm. 15 minutes later she was at 8 cm. They wheeled her into the O.R. while I was getting dressed and by the time I got into the operating room the baby;s head was already crowned. So we decided to do a quick spinal and push him through. Twenty minutes later at 4:27 am we had a sweet baby boy that has been really pleasant. Kim's dad came out and took Kaylee back home with him. She was excited about the baby too, wanting to be soft and giving him loves. Final weight and height: 7 lbs 14 oz, 19 1/2 in. Still considering James Kimball Emett as the name.

Love you all,

John and Kim
