About

John went to Skyline and was actively involved in Football and Wrestling and excelled in both. He went on to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Kim attended Bingham and was a preschool teacher and an aide to kids with Special Needs. She went on to college for a year, then became a nanny. She took care of two beautiful children in Iowa and moved with the family to Ohio.

John and Kim met at college in January of 2005. After a Spring Break road trip with friends to Las Vegas, skiing at Snowbird, hiking in Zions, being separated by John's job, and many other adventures together, we decided to seal the deal in October at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple.

We both graduated from college with our Associates Degree. From there we moved onto Utah State University. John received his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Kim, History. Near the end of our studies, Kim gave birth to our beautiful daughter.

We searched for employment in Iowa. While on our trip and passing out resumes, John received several phone calls to both schedule interviews and had phone interviews for schools in Utah. Much to our disappointment at the time, things did not work out for Iowa. Time proved the best decision was staying in Utah. John received employment in a Sandy school and had a dream team for his sixth grade position. We settled in a new city and ended up switching schools after two years of teaching to have John closer to home.

Upon graduating, Kim became a full-time stay at home mom. She has continued to nourish her talents. She loves running and has competed in several races for fun. She picked up biking. Kim has always had a fascination with art and has been able to do a variety of projects and is always trying more. She finds a lot of joy in mothering her two children and continues to go on new adventures. Being a mother has opened up a whole new door of opportunity.

John has since received his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy. He continues to be an amazing teacher, one whom students look up to and become excited about.  We also added a little boy to our family who came with a lot of energy and love.

Along the way, we have met many wonderful people. While time does not allow to keep in contact as much as we'd like, blogging does. Please, enjoy our blog and we'd love to know what you're up to!
