We spent the night in Keokuk (where I used to live as a nanny). John was kind enough to humor me by driving by some places for nostalgia. :)

Nauvoo Hour...
Literally. We were pressed for time on the way back (John had a meeting), but did want to stop by Nauvoo. I'm glad we did. We made it there an hour before closing and had time to hit a few of the sites. With young kids, the length was perfect. The kids learned how to make bread, candles, rugs, and rope...pioneer style. We then ended by going to the bakery and gun smith. We ran into a John's old high school buddy and his beautiful wife and baby!! So fun!
