On the Open Road

There's something to be said about road trips.  Nothing else quite like packing up a car, preparing games, bringing books and movies, and eating snacks.  All while driving hundreds of miles.  You get to experience a unique way of traveling.  I love being able to meet fellow travelers, crossing state lines, eating local food, seeing sites, talking with locals.  After traveling somewhere in the neighborhood of 6,500 miles, there becomes plenty of time to bond. While I did LOVE all of the places we went to, my absolute favorite was spending time with my family.  We loved being able to experience this trip together.  We have also missed our family that has moved away and we really enjoyed being able to spend time with them.
